  • Ice Dancing Star

    Year 8 pupil, Lowri Jones will be performing along with the stars of the ‘Holiday on Ice’ production when it comes to Cardiff in February. Lowri won the opportunity to appear in the show by beating 33 other ice skating hopefuls after performing a minute and a half long routine for former Olympic Champion Robin Cousins. She will also be competing in her first international competition for Great Britain this year. We wish her all the best as she prepares for the show in February.

  • Christmas Concert 2011

    The school Christmas Concert was held on Monday evening 28th November. Many of the arrangements were organised by two members of the sixth form as part of their Business Project. The hall was packed and the audience enjoyed performances by the school orchestra, Junior and Senior choirs, Junior and Senior dramatic presentations and solo and duet performances. The evening was a big success and a contribution of the evening’s proceeds was donated to the Clic Sargent charity – children’s cancer charity. Thank you to the Music and Drama departments for preparing such and array of talent.

  • Eisteddfod Success

    In Swansea, The Junior Dramatic Presentation and Georgina Griggs (Musical Solo) won First Prize and Megan Morris (Harp Solo) was awarded second place along with the prize for most promising harpist. For the first time ever, pupils triumphed in creative writing competitions with Megan Thomason winning the year 9 poetry competition and Jacob Ellis winning the first prize in the Year 12 + 13 poetry competition.
