Annually year 8 pupils have the opportunity to take part in the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Mathematical Challenge. The challenge is open to all schools throughout Britain and the standard is extremely with almost a quarter of a million participants.
We are pleased to note the success of the following pupils:
Rhodri Davies, Caleb Darwin, Lois Aled and Angharad Hill won the Bronze Award, Terance James, Niamh Cooper a Belinda Wallace won the Silver Award.
Charlotte Robinson (best in the year), Elen Dafydd and Brendan Scott won the Gold Award. Elen and Charlotte’s scores were so high that they were invited to take part in the “Junior Math Olympics”.
